I love portal graphic art, it is so amazingly simplistic and utilises vivid colour amongst a gloomy background. It shows off the core principles of the game in an easy to understand manner.

Complimentary Colour

ChurchThis particular image is an example of how complimentary colours can create a more vivid impression both in reality and photography. The red and green of the church facade are complimentary because they are positioned on opposite sides of the hue circle, the same effect would occur with yellow – blue and all other opposing hues. This is useful knowledge for image composition and the use of colour on graphic images as it is important to communicate a complimentary a colour palette.
